You can build friends from pencil shavings,
Line by line they are erased.
I still think of you.
Its springtime,
And sometimes you have a little space in between your two front teeth.
An insatiable diastema, gap-toothed luster.
Maybe your teeth are all touching,
But they protrude outwards a little?
I’m not really sure, but I have this recollection of our teeth smashing against each other. I guess that’s all.
I heard only kissing or porn can truly get a man hard.
And its springtime, I think I want to see you again,
On some stolen afternoon,
To wrestle back from around the corner of time,
Just a single pleasantry,
Something worth turning over in my head.
The ghostly royal daughter of the chambers of New York,
And her faithful leopard servant.
The two of them break into the temple to drink the dregs of the sacrifice,
When you see it coming in advance it becomes a part of the rites.
Most likely we’ll happen across each other,
According to the indifferent orbit of that sort of thing.
Depending on where and who else is around we might keep our distance cordially.
Perhaps just a nod and a smile, how are you?
But if you’re feeling mischievous you’ll sneak a wink past the witnesses.
Ah it’s springtime, forgive my being green.
But I, a fool, do solemnly believe,
In a fool’s possibility.
To give up to the pursuit in heat,
So that some day we’ll catch our footsteps retreat.
